VIETNAM Cyber Security Incidents Response Directive

Prime Minister of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh has issued the Directive No. 18/CT-TTg to mitigate the challenges from cyber security incidents in Vietnam.

In the light of recent cyber security attacks and the vulnerabilities witnessed by the country and to mitigate the challenges from such cyber security incidents, Prime Minister has issued the directives (Directive No. 18/CT-TTg ) to be implemented at the end of 2022. He explains that cyber security is vital for the country to create the digital trust and protecting the country’s Digital Era for Implementation of successful digital transformation.

Why at this time Directive is Issued

PM said that the response to Cyber security incidents is not adequate in the present time. As a result country is facing the consequences on its Socio and Econonmic development as well as on stability. To minimise the damage different agencies and organisations in the country have been directed to implement the directves by end of this year.

Implementing Agencies for the Directives

The Ministry of Information and Communications has been assigned to implement the directive along with the Ministry of Defence. Several Internet service providers involved in this Digital Transformation along with Telcos companies will implement the directive by providing the detailed information to the end users by the end of this month.
